Recruiter Name Briony Jenkins

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Property & Workplace to join a leading international professional services organisation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the UK property portfolio, workplace strategy and facilities operation, as well as a developing remit across offices in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The role will shape the future of the organisation’s office estate, lead major workplace investment and ensure its offices support client service, collaboration and changing ways of working. The successful candidate will advise senior leaders on property decisions, oversee a sizeable Property & Workplace team and take responsibility for both long-term strategy and operational delivery.

The remit will include:

  • Developing and delivering the property, workplace and facilities strategy across a complex, multi-site portfolio.
  • Leading lease events, acquisitions, disposals, re-gears and landlord relationships.
  • Overseeing major relocations, refurbishments and fit-outs, including significant current projects in London and Birmingham.
  • Managing hard and soft facilities services, outsourced providers and strategic contracts.
  • Using occupancy, financial and employee-experience data to guide investment and space decisions.
  • Leading budgets, business cases and commercial negotiations, while building support for change across senior stakeholder groups.
  • Developing the Property & Workplace team and setting clear accountability across property, projects and day-to-day operations.

What we are looking for:

You will have led a corporate occupier property portfolio and workplace or facilities function within professional services or another complex organisation. You should bring experience of property strategy, lease negotiations, capital projects and workplace transformation, as well as oversight of hard and soft facilities services.

You will also need to be comfortable managing significant budgets, external advisers and outsourced providers, with the credibility to advise senior leaders and influence investment decisions. Experience in the legal sector or a partnership environment would be useful. International property exposure and a relevant qualification, including RICS membership, are desirable rather than essential.

The role can be based in London or Birmingham. Regular travel across the UK office network will be required, with frequent time in Birmingham where much of the team is based.
