We are working with a highly regarded professional services firm to recruit an experienced HR Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a broad, hands-on generalist role within a close-knit HR team, offering plenty of variety and responsibility. You will act as the main HR contact for a number of business areas, working closely with managers on day-to-day people matters while also getting involved in wider HR projects and initiatives.
The remit will cover employee relations, performance and absence management, recruitment, payroll, benefits, HR systems and reporting, as well as supporting annual salary and bonus reviews. You will also oversee key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probation, family leave and leavers, and provide guidance to managers on HR policies and employment matters.
There is a good mix of operational HR and project work, so this would suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail while having the scope to suggest improvements and take ownership of projects.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similarly broad HR generalist role, ideally within a law firm, professional services firm or other partnership environment. You will need to be comfortable managing a busy workload, dealing confidently with employees and managers at different levels, and handling sensitive matters with good judgement.
Experience of payroll, HR systems and reporting would be useful, together with strong attention to detail and a practical, collaborative approach.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Manager looking for a varied 12-month FTC within a friendly and supportive professional services environment.
