We are delighted to be working with a leading professional services firm on a newly created growth-focused role. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys helping senior stakeholders win more work, improve how teams approach business development and make commercial activity more consistent across a large organisation.
This is not a traditional sales role. You will not be expected to personally bring in new clients. Instead, you will lead the team that helps partners and client-facing teams do business development better.
The role
You will help turn the firm’s growth priorities into clear plans, practical tools and better ways of working. This could include improving how teams identify opportunities, manage pipelines, prepare for client conversations, use CRM and follow up on activity.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across sales, marketing, client development and operations, helping teams focus on the right clients, use the right messaging and build better habits around winning work.
Key responsibilities
- Create simple, practical business development plans that support growth.
- Help partners and teams build stronger pipelines and convert more opportunities.
- Develop tools, templates and guidance that make BD easier and more consistent.
- Coach and support teams on best practice.
- Work with sales, marketing and client teams to ensure activity is joined up.
- Use data and feedback to understand what is working and where improvements are needed.
- Lead and develop a specialist business development enablement team.
What we’re looking for
You may come from business development, sales enablement, client development, pursuits, proposals, commercial operations or a wider growth role. Professional services experience would be helpful, but the key requirement is the ability to influence senior people, improve ways of working and help teams become more commercially effective.
This would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure, clarity and momentum to business development activity, and who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
Why apply?
This is a visible role with real influence. You will be helping shape how the firm approaches growth, working with senior stakeholders and building a function that supports better business development across the organisation.
If this role isn't quite the right one for you, but you know someone who would excel in it, why not take advantage of our referral programme?
