Client Development & Engagement Manager / Senior Manager

A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a Client Development & Engagement Manager or Senior Manager, with level dependent on the experience of the successful individual. The role supports market-leading teams across Private Equity, M&A, Banking & Credit and Funds, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders on strategic growth initiatives.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing BD function in a genuinely strategic role, combining client development, market intelligence, relationship management and business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver business development plans across key transactional practice areas.
- Work directly with partners on client targeting, relationship development and growth initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate major pitch opportunities and RFP responses.
- Utilise market and client intelligence to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage client events, campaigns and engagement programmes.
- Drive process improvements and encourage effective use of BD technology and data.
- Mentor and support junior members of the team.
About You
- Proven business development experience within a law firm.
- Experience supporting transactional practices such as Corporate, M&A, Private Equity, Banking, Finance or Funds.
- Comfortable operating as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
- Looking for a role with significant visibility, responsibility and strategic input.
The position reports into the Director of Client Development – Europe and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while helping shape the continued growth of the firm's London platform.
