Totum Partners is working with a global Law firm to recruit a Treasurer on a 12-month fixed-term contract for their London office. You will play an important role in supporting treasury activities, ensuring financial controls are maintained, and helping deliver an efficient service across both UK and international operations. Hybrid working is available with this opportunity (3 days in office, 2 days WFH).
Treasurer Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the arrangement and administration of bank guarantees, including rental guarantees and performance or bid bonds.
- Assisting with treasury forecasting, budgeting and management reporting.
- Supporting international funding activities and cash management initiatives.
- Maintaining records relating to interest rates across multiple banking jurisdictions.
- Reviewing banking fees and assisting with reconciliation of treasury control accounts.
- Monitoring daily cash positions, performing reconciliations and preparing cash balance reports.
- Providing support for regulatory requirements, including sanctions screening, anti-money laundering processes and tax-related reporting.
- Managing the administration of bank accounts, including account openings, closures, mandate updates and online banking access.
- Assisting with internal and external audit requests, including those relating to client money.
- Supporting payment approval processes and ensuring transactions are completed accurately and on time.
- Assisting with overseas payroll payments where required.
- Maintaining treasury records, banking documentation and key contact information.
- Identifying opportunities to improve treasury processes and supporting system enhancements.
Treasurer Experience:
- APPLICANTS MUST BE CURRENTLY WORKING IN A LEGAL OR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRM.
- Experience working within treasury or banking operations.
- An understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across different teams.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience of Aderant or similar finance systems would be beneficial.
