Totum Partners are working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Legal Cashier Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in London, this role sits within the firm's Global Revenue Cycle Operations team and offers the opportunity to support multiple international offices, including Brussels, Dubai and Tokyo.
What you'll be doing:
- Processing a wide range of client account transactions, including payments and receipts
- Monitoring client account activity and ensuring transactions are posted accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Reviewing multi-currency bank statements and allocating incoming funds
- Processing and authorising client and office account payments
- Calculating and applying client interest where required
- Investigating and resolving outstanding client account balances and reconciliation items
- Assisting with client account queries and providing support to internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, AML requirements and internal financial controls
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Assisting with audits, projects and wider team initiatives
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working within a legal cashiering or client accounts function
- Good knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules
- Experience handling client monies and processing payments
- Understanding of AML requirements and regulatory compliance
- Experience working in a fast-paced legal finance environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Experience dealing with multi-currency transactions would be advantageous
