With a national footprint and deep regional expertise, the firm supports a diverse client base including landowners, investors, developers and corporate occupiers and is recognised for its long-standing heritage, strong values and reputation for excellence.
The business is now seeking to appoint a senior finance leader to operate as the key point of leadership across its Finance function. This is a high-impact role combining operational oversight with strategic influence, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and the partnership.
The Role
This position represents the senior operational lead within Finance, responsible for the day-to-day management, leadership and continuous development of the function. The role will oversee core financial operations including payroll, credit control and financial controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across all activities.
A key focus will be the ongoing review and optimisation of finance processes, with responsibility for identifying opportunities to improve performance, reduce cost and enhance the overall control environment. This includes evaluating existing systems and driving automation and transformation initiatives to ensure the function remains modern, scalable and aligned to future growth.
The role will also take full ownership of statutory accounting and compliance, including year-end reporting, audit coordination and regulatory submissions. This includes working closely with external advisers on tax matters, managing LLP reporting requirements and ensuring all filings are delivered accurately and on time.
In addition, the position plays a critical role in overseeing partner financial affairs, including capital and current accounts, tax reserves and remuneration-related reporting, ensuring clarity, transparency and strong financial governance. The successful individual will also lead on cash flow management, banking relationships and the delivery of robust budgeting and forecasting processes to support both operational stability and strategic growth.
Working closely with the Finance Director, the role provides insight and challenge around financial performance, including KPIs, management reporting and long-term planning. It will also support strategic initiatives such as financial modelling, scenario planning and M&A activity, while acting as a senior deputy to the Finance Director when required.
The Individual
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance leader with strong technical grounding and a proven track record of operating within a professional services or partnership environment. They will combine high levels of attention to detail with a commercial and strategic mindset, and be comfortable operating at both operational and leadership levels.
They will bring deep expertise across financial control, reporting, cash flow management, and process improvement, alongside experience of working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making. Strong leadership capability is essential, with the ability to develop teams, drive accountability and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience of systems transformation, automation and modernisation of finance functions will be highly advantageous, as will exposure to partnership structures and partner financial management.
Opportunity
This is a highly visible and influential role within a respected and growing business, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the Finance function while contributing to wider strategic decision-making. It would suit an individual looking to step into a senior leadership role with strong exposure to partnership dynamics and long-term progression opportunities.
