Chief Technology Officer - PE-backed carve-out

I'm delighted to partner with a newly independent, private equity-backed customer experience business to appoint its first Chief Technology Officer as a standalone company.
Recently carved out of a large listed group, the business is now backed by an investor that specialises in corporate separations. Its ambition is clear: not to be another volume-led outsourcer, but a specialist CX partner that brings human expertise, technology and AI together to solve the root causes of customer friction.
For the right person, that's a rare opportunity to build a technology function from first principles. Reporting to the CEO, you'll start by assessing the current Microsoft-led estate, which also spans AWS, Salesforce and ServiceNow, and then set the platform strategy that will carry the business forward. Alongside this, you'll shape the structure, capability and leadership of a team of more than 300 people. Security will be central throughout, especially in how clients connect to the company's infrastructure, and you'll have a clear mandate to push the business forward in data and AI.
The ideal candidate will have led technology through a carve-out, divestiture or significant M&A transition, or will bring strong private equity experience and a feel for the pace and focus investors expect. Global operating experience is essential, and just as important is the presence to earn trust quickly, both around the executive table and across a business still finding its feet.
The role is London-based, with regular international travel.
