Totum Partners is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading global law firm on the appointment of their new Chief Technology Officer - a rare and compelling opportunity that has not come to market for a number of years, within a firm of considerable international standing.
Reporting directly to the COO, the CTO will lead technology across a genuinely global firm at a pivotal moment. With much of the estate already migrated to the cloud, the foundations are strong - and two major programmes lie ahead, including the cloud migration of the Document Management System and the upgrade of the Practice Management System. The firm is also in the early stages of shaping its data strategy, with a clear focus on automation, efficiency and unlocking the value of its data.
AI is reshaping how law firms operate, and this firm is no exception. The role calls for someone with genuine judgment in this space - not an adopter of every new solution, but a leader who can identify the technologies truly worth pursuing, and who is comfortable both challenging and being challenged by an exceptionally bright, tech-savvy partnership.
What we're looking for:
• Current or previous experience leading technology at an international/global level - this is essential
• A background in legal or professional services
• The credibility and confidence to engage partners and stakeholders at every level, securing buy-in and, where necessary, pushing back constructively
• A genuine, current engagement with the evolving technology and legal tech landscape
• Strong, clear and consistent communication - the ability to bring the whole business on the journey
