Markets Activation Manager

Leading Advisory Firm

London

Hybrid Working

My client is a leading professional services firm with an ambitious growth agenda, a collaborative culture and a strong track record of investing in both its people and commercial capability. As part of a significant investment in its business development function, the firm is looking to appoint a Markets Activation Manager to help drive growth across priority sectors, service lines and client programmes.

This opportunity offers something different from a traditional Business Development Manager position. Sitting within a newly evolved commercial function, the focus is firmly on driving activity, creating opportunities and supporting growth, rather than managing events, communications or marketing delivery. Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders, you will help turn strategic priorities into tangible actions, ensuring business development initiatives gain traction and deliver results.

It is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, coordinating activity, building momentum around growth initiatives and seeing the direct impact of their efforts. Joining at a time of continued investment, you will gain exposure to senior leaders, high-profile growth programmes and a team that is playing an increasingly important role in shaping the firm's future success.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver business development and growth plans aligned to strategic priorities and target client programmes
  • Work with partners and stakeholders to coordinate activity, drive engagement and maintain momentum around commercial initiatives
  • Support pipeline generation, client development and account growth activities
  • Identify opportunities, target audiences and areas for business development focus
  • Facilitate business development discussions and actions, ensuring agreed activity progresses effectively
  • Build accountability across stakeholder groups and track progress against agreed priorities
  • Coordinate activity across business development, sales and marketing teams to support growth objectives
  • Monitor performance measures and provide insight to support continuous improvement
  • Manage risks, dependencies and competing priorities to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and effectiveness of business development activity across the wider team

The successful candidate will have

  • Experience within business development, client development, sales enablement, strategic accounts or a related commercial role
  • A track record of supporting growth initiatives within a professional services or complex B2B environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credibility with senior professionals
  • Experience coordinating programmes, projects or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in driving revenue growth and client development
  • Confidence using insight and performance data to inform actions and decision-making
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong focus on delivery and outcomes
  • Applications are welcomed from candidates within legal, accountancy, consulting and wider professional services organisations, as well as those working in client development, account management or sales enablement functions who are looking to broaden their commercial experience.

Why join?

  • Join a growing team at the centre of the firm's commercial growth strategy
  • Move into a more commercially focused business development role with a clear link to growth outcomes
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and experienced business development leaders
  • Gain exposure to strategic client programmes, sector initiatives and market priorities
  • Develop skills that support progression into more senior commercial business development positions
  • Be part of a business continuing to invest heavily in growth, client development and market opportunities
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
