A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Resource Manager to join a leading international law firm in a truly global role to support the global integration of their resource management function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fee-earner work allocation for designated practice groups, ensuring effective resourcing for client and non-chargeable work.
  • Build strong business relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to partners and associates.
  • Lead the RM team for a global practice group.
  • Oversee global utilisation and ensure optimal productivity and profitability.
  • Identify and drive forward areas for improvement and work allocation change initiatives.
  • Analyse fee-earning utilisation data and provide recommendations to resolve resourcing issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for resourcing conflicts and issues.
  • Support fee-earner new joiners, movers, leavers, and secondments.
  • Facilitate and support Trainee seat and supervisor allocations.
  • Oversee ad hoc recruitment of FTC lawyers and support junior team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior work allocation/resource management role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data to provide business insights.
  • Strong commercial acumen and flexibility in approach.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio.

  • Experience in a legal, professional services, or large corporate environment.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and influence stakeholders.
