The key objectives of the role include providing day-to-day pricing support across the U.S. and serving as a trusted advisor to partners, while ensuring the effective adoption of global pricing tools, initiatives, and governance frameworks.
This role involves end-to-end responsibility for pricing strategy and execution across the U.S., combining hands-on pricing support with strategic leadership. The individual will manage financial modelling, client proposals and rate setting while acting as a trusted advisor to partners on high-value matters and tenders. You will localise and execute the firm’s global pricing strategy, contribute U.S. market insights to global initiatives and drive innovation and capability building in the region. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Legal Project Management, Business Finance, and BD. In addition, you will lead internal training, promote the use of pricing tools, support team development and track regional pricing performance to ensure commercial alignment and a high-quality client experience.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years' experience in pricing, finance, or legal operations within a U.S.-based law firm, preferably in a global firm environment. You should possess a strong understanding of law firm economics and alternative fee arrangements, with proven commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise are essential, along with familiarity with systems such as Aderant or Elite.
