Totum Partners are delighted to be working with a leading US law firm to assist in the search for a Senior Pricing Analyst to provide support and counsel to lawyers and other firm personnel in relation to managing the rate & commercial aspects of individual client and matter agreements and pricing/fee proposals.
The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for providing pricing and financial support to Partners, Business Development, and other Firm personnel regarding client fee arrangements. This includes developing fee arrangement options in response to client RFPs and ad-hoc pricing requests, preparing supporting analyses, and modelling the financial impact and viability of proposed pricing structures. The role involves presenting matter economics to Partners and management, assisting with fee approval processes through FINCOM or other committees, and conducting post-matter financial analysis to provide pricing insights. Additionally, the analyst performs competitor and market research to assess the European legal services landscape and collaborates with Pricing and Legal Project Management teams to enhance departmental technologies, tools, and processes. Other ad-hoc projects and reporting may be assigned as needed.
Applicants should have experience of fee negotiations and be adept at creating, developing and maintaining financial models, preferably in a pricing context with experience in a partnership preferably in a law firm. The position requires a highly analytical individual who is comfortable and credible in communication with a wide variety of personnel and personalities including partners, business development personnel and accounting staff.
