Senior PR Manager

An exciting, newly created, opportunity has arisen to take a lead role on a rapidly expanding law firm’s PR operations. Working closely with the Director of Communications and the Head of BD in London, you will deliver the London office’s PR programme to build the reputation of the office, in alignment with the firm's wider strategic goals.

This role includes:

  • Managing relationships with key target journalists including legal trade press - facilitating introductions, preparing media briefings and assisting on responses to surveys and features
  • Providing regular guidance, advice to partners and updates on London PR and overall positioning
  • Assisting with developing and implementing PR plans for groups and practice areas
  • Overseeing and proactively executing on all facets of engagement with legal directories (Chambers, Legal 500, etc.) and award submissions
  • Managing external agency/PR suppliers
  • Working closely with the Comms team on the firm’s social media to expand the impact of PR

Key requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience within in professional services PR / Communications
  • A thorough understanding of business, commerce and an interest in business development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior people
  • Able to manage and extract data from media databases, identify PR opportunities and manage campaigns
  • Strong media contacts - confident and natural networker
  • Ability to understand complex issues and develop PR angles
