A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Senior L&D Advisor to join a highly regarded law firm and their HR team. Reporting to the HR Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the professional growth and continuous development of staff.

You will play a key role in the design, delivery, and coordination of firmwide learning initiatives covering: soft skills, leadership, supervision, personal development, and technical training.

This is a broad, self-sufficient role, working closely with the wider HR team, Partners and PSL’s to implement the Firm’s L&D strategy in line with HR and business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and colleagues to assess training needs across the firm.
  • Design and deliver L&D initiatives aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal subject matter experts in developing training material such as presentation, handouts, e-learning modules, and workshops.
  • Source and manage relationships with external training providers and accreditors.
  • Take responsibility for the Firm’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate training records and accessible materials.
  • Evaluate training engagement and effectiveness using feedback and data, and apply insights to improve future offerings.
  • Lead the Firm’s apprenticeship levy strategy and develop related initiatives.

Experience and skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an L&D role, ideally within the legal or professional services.
  • Proven ability to conduct training needs analysis and deliver effective training programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of CPD, SRA requirements and legal qualifications (including SQE)
  • Excellent project management, organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience using LMS platforms and digital/AI tools for L&D delivery is desirable.
