Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational leadership of the firm’s infrastructure and security program.
- This role oversees all day-to-day aspects of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud services, and core legal applications).
- The role contributes to IT planning and leads on execution in the infrastructure and security domains, aligning initiatives with the firm’s overall IT strategy.
- Lead the design and operation of the firm’s information security framework and controls.
- Maintain and enhance incident response and cybersecurity posture.
- Maintain compliance with data protection regulations and relevant standards.
- Manage contracts and SLAs, including oversight of MSP and SOC providers.
- Support IT strategy and roadmap development for infrastructure and security.
- Oversee disaster recovery and technical business continuity planning.
- Set objectives, manage performance, and support ongoing professional development.
- Support budgeting and financial oversight for infrastructure and security. Monitor spend and identify efficiencies and investment priorities.
Skills Required
- Infrastructure & Security management experience within a legal environment.
- Strong expertise in Enterprise Networking, Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Identity & Device Management, Remote Access Solutions, Enterprise Security tools
- Hands-on experience with technologies including Azure, Windows 11, O365, Entra ID, Autopilot, M365, Wi-Fi, IDS/IPS, Endpoint, Defender, Firewalls, LAN/WAN and Intune.
- Strong understanding of security operations, risk management/assessments, incident response, best practices and gaining security accreditations - ISO27001 & Cyber Essentials+.
- Experience of legal applications - iManage, Aderant, Intapp, Workshare or InterAction
- Proven leadership and team management capability, including mentoring distributed teams.
This role offers hybrid working - 2 days WFH weekly.
