This global and internationally renowned law firm is in search of a Senior Manager for Business Development for their Financial Investors division. The position will report to the head of BD and will provide first class business development on a global scale for the Financial Investors sector. The Senior Manager will assist in advancing revenue growth worldwide from the Financial Investors client base, as well as oversee the dedicated global Financial Investors team.

The Business Development team for Financial Investors manages relationships and supports lawyers in developing business with clients in areas such as Private Equity, Funds & Asset Managers, Insurance, Real Estate, and Sovereign Wealth. You will be accountable for supporting the Leadership Group in order to implement the global strategy for Financial Investors, which includes revenue generation, thought leadership, internal communication, and PR programs. The Senior Manager will supervise the client program, including annual performance targets and objectives, client selection, distribution of fee-earner newsletters and thought leadership material, annual and interim reviews of portfolio financial performance, client team training and development programs.

The Senior Manager will also handle client development management for up to three FI clients, which will include creating the annual client plan and revenue goals, overseeing internal client team calls and communication, researching and analysing clients' businesses to identify new opportunities, relationship mapping, and developing new key client relationships. The chosen candidate will ensure that crucial FI pitches, such as all legal panel reappointments, are well managed and positioned for success.

The Senior Manager will work closely with the Global Head of Client Feedback and supervise the FI client feedback program, including annual benchmarking and objective setting, increasing the amount of feedback received from the relevant sectors, disseminating feedback reports to the FI client/sector teams to make feedback actionable, and implementing action plans to improve service delivery and expand relationships across functions. They will also guarantee the use and maintenance of crucial infrastructure necessary to grow FI clients and work.

You should have experience in business development for a global sector or practice team, preferably in the professional services industry, with in-depth knowledge of the Financial Investors client base being advantageous, especially with a focus on successfully developing and implementing client plans for Financial Investors. You should possess a global outlook, with sensitivity to various cultures, and have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with senior internal stakeholders, including partners, function leaders, client & market development, and brand, communication, and marketing colleagues.

This position will be filled on a hybrid working arrangement, and you will be supported to work in a hybrid manner.
