The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Senior Business Development & Marketing Executive to support the firm’s Corporate & Commercial division, encompassing Corporate, Tax, Employment and Immigration. Working closely with partners, associates and the wider BD & Marketing team, the role spans the full breadth of business development and marketing activity - from strategy and campaigns through to pitching, communications and events. It offers genuine visibility and autonomy within a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of BD and marketing initiative for the Corporate, Tax, Employment and Immigration teams, supporting profile‑raising and work‑winning activity.
- Turn firmwide and practice strategy into focused, deliverable BD action.
- Work with partners and associates to build relationships, strengthen intermediary connections and progress personal BD priorities.
- Identify and drive cross‑practice collaboration and cross‑selling opportunities.
- Lead the production of pitches, proposals and credentials, ensuring content is clear, relevant and client‑led.
- Deliver targeted campaigns aligned to priority audiences and growth objectives.
- Support the creation and promotion of thought leadership to enhance market visibility.
- Maintain core marketing materials and channels, keeping content current and effective.
- Support profile‑raising through awards, directories, networks and events, with a focus on return on effort.
- Track BD activity and outcomes, using insight to refine approach and inform planning.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a business development and/or marketing role, within a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong experience supporting senior stakeholders and fee‑earners on BD and marketing initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging internal and external audiences.
- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience using Vuture is advantageous.
