Role Overview: The firm is looking for a creative and motivated Business Development and Marketing Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have prior BD/marketing experience, ideally within the legal or other professional services sectors, and will be motivated to take the next step in their career and take on more primary responsibility for the firm’s marketing. The successful candidate will work closely with the business development committee, the wider partnership group, and the operations teams to ensure the firm’s marketing efforts align with the overall strategy, which they will help to shape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to produce marketing and business development materials, including pitches, credentials documents, and proposals.
- Gather and collate business content from the team and fee earners to regularly update lawyer bios on the website and in pitch documents.
- Track key dates/deadlines for directories and awards and assist with preparing and updating submissions.
- Design and create visually appealing social media posts, event invitations, email designs, and other marketing collateral.
- Schedule and manage social media posts across various platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
- Write and edit copy for social media, including updating the website and driving content.
- Manage and segment the company’s contact database, ensuring effective email campaigns are targeted and relevant.
- Manage the distribution of newsletters, articles, or email campaigns to clients, prospects, and contacts, tracking and reporting on their effectiveness.
- Assist with event organisation as requested by the partners and have a presence at key events to oversee smooth running.
- Work closely with the business development committee to ensure marketing strategies are aligned and proactively suggest and provide input on new marketing strategies.
- Participate in the firm’s fee earner business development initiative, including regular meetings with fee earners to help drive their participation in the initiative and report back to the partners on the fee earners' progress against business development targets.
