About the Role

My client, a leading law firm with a reputation for excellence, is seeking a dynamic Pursuits Manager to join their collaborative team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional who thrives on winning high-value work and enjoys managing the full bid lifecycle, particularly within the public sector.

As a key member of the Pursuits team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving business growth by leading complex, cross-firm tenders and ensuring the firm’s continued success in securing strategic opportunities. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, drawing on both legal and business expertise to deliver compelling, high-quality submissions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and managing the end-to-end process for major bids and tenders, with a focus on public sector opportunities.
  • Assessing and qualifying new opportunities, applying a commercial lens and a robust go/no-go process.
  • Chairing and driving forward key meetings, from initial strategy sessions to final submission and debrief.
  • Drafting persuasive, non-technical content that stands out in competitive public sector environments.
  • Coaching teams for presentations and interviews, ensuring the firm’s best foot is always put forward.
  • Collaborating with business services professionals to deliver holistic, innovative solutions.
  • Continuously improving processes and sharing best practice across the team and wider business.
  • Mentoring and upskilling colleagues, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of bids and tenders, ideally within the legal or professional services sector.
  • A strong track record of working on public sector bids.
  • Ambitious, driven, and motivated by success – you thrive under pressure and enjoy the challenge of winning.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills; you’re a natural networker who can quickly build rapport and influence stakeholders.
  • A methodical, project management approach, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Innovative and solutions-focused, always looking for ways to improve and add value.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys mentoring others and sharing knowledge.

Why Apply?

  • Join a forward-thinking firm that values innovation and empowers its people.
  • Enjoy a supportive, inclusive culture where your expertise is respected and your voice is heard.
  • Benefit from hybrid working and a modern, city-centre office in Bristol.
  • Be part of a team that celebrates success and recognises your contribution.
