Overview:
My client, a prominent international law firm, is seeking a skilled and proactive Pursuits & Proposals s Manager to join their central business development team. This role is instrumental in supporting the firm’s most strategic global proposal efforts across all practice and industry groups.
Reporting into a fantastic Senior Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the firm to deliver high-impact RFP responses and client-facing materials, as well as playing a key role in mentoring junior team members and ensuring the firm’s proposal processes are executed to the highest standard. This is a newly created role and offers excellent autonomy and opportunity for long term scope.

The main remit of the Pursuits & Proposals Manager role will include:
- Leading and managing the full lifecycle of complex RFPs and proposals, ensuring alignment with internal best practices.
- Developing compelling messaging and differentiators that highlight the firm’s strengths and value proposition.
- Coordinating input from stakeholders across various departments and regions.
- Drafting and refining impactful proposal content.
- Supporting partners in preparing for client presentations and follow-up engagements.
- Providing line management and mentorship to junior team members.
- Managing the client feedback process, sharing ideas and lessons learned to develop best practice.
The successful candidate for this Pursuits & proposals Manager role will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar proposals or business development role within a law firm environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on producing high-quality, client-ready content.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident communication style, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting ideas clearly.
- The ability to quickly understand complex legal and technical concepts.
- Experience of managing or mentoring junior staff.
