People Systems & Data Specialist

We are delighted to be working with a leading law firm who have a fantastic opportunity for a People Systems and Data Specialist to join their highly regarded team.

This role combines HR systems management with people analytics and reporting, supporting the wider People, Learning & Development, and Recruitment teams. You will help drive process efficiency, improve user experience, and enhance the ability to measure impact and inform strategy with high-quality people insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the firm's suite of People technologies (e.g., Select HR, Select Pay, Cornerstone, Candid, Jira/Confluence).
  • Ensure systems are operating effectively, delivering regular maintenance, performance monitoring, and timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Enhance system usability and maximise the value of available tools.
  • Build and maintain workflows, user journeys, batch processes, and data integrations.
  • Lead system upgrades, testing cycles, and configuration updates.
  • Oversee system documentation, access governance, and change control protocols.
  • Represent the People function in third-party supplier relationships.

People Data & Reporting:

  • Provide analytical support across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Design, build, and evolve dashboards and data products.
  • Collaborate with the BI team to ensure people data aligns with the firm's common data model.
  • Promote best practices in people data management.

Cross-Functional Projects:

  • Support project work from requirements gathering to implementation and stakeholder training.
  • Report on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Contribute to innovative solutions that improve the employee experience and increase automation.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing and developing HR systems.
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency in reporting tools like Power BI and Crystal Reports.
  • Experience supporting senior HR leaders with reporting and insights.
  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical and analytical skills, including data privacy and compliance standards knowledge.
