Reporting into the Global Chief People Officer (who is Sydney based), the People & Culture Director will manage the Advisory and Business Partnering teams as well as Early Careers across the UK, EMEA and US (12 direct reports).  The People and Culture Centres of Excellence (Reward and Systems, including Global Mobility, Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging, Resourcing and Learning and Organisational Development) are operated globally and these teams work closely together to provide a global, seamless HR service to the business. This role will have responsibility for engaging peers and aligning the work of the Centres of Excellence across the Northern Hemisphere in support of delivering the firm's strategic priorities.

As a member of the global People & Culture Leadership Team, the role requires close collaboration with other leadership team members in developing and leading execution of the firm's People & Culture strategy to support the firm's strategy. You will also be a trusted advisor to the firm's Leadership team members, including being an escalation point and strategic advisor on more complex business challenges and issues.  The role will have leadership of employer brand and reputation (including Early Careers strategies and functions), engagement and cultural issues within the relevant region, as well as leadership of key global projects to support strategy execution and service delivery.

The role will play a regional leadership role that supports global approaches but local "communities", recognising the need for local requirements and bespoke approaches where necessary whilst ensuring a consistent experience for all. Naturally, you will build collaborative relationships with EMEA/UK/US Office Managing Partners,  Practice Heads and Function Heads as the key point of contact and escalation for People & Culture matters across the region.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team of People & Culture professionals across a regional matrix structure, with prior exposure to European markets. You will have a strong understanding of the unique requirements and opportunities of a partnership model, supporting a sophisticated client base, dealing with senior stakeholders and forging strong relationships at every level.  This could suit someone stepping up as well as those already at this leadership level.
