This large international professional services consultancy is currently looking to appoint a Partnership Tax Accountant to join their established team in their Central London Offices. They offer Hybrid working – 3 in the office – and an excellent working environment.
 

About you / experience sought
The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for all aspects of the partnership taxation and accounting thereof at an individual partner by partner and corporate level so previous experience is essential.

•Accounting and or Taxation Qualification, or QBE.

•Extensive experience working in a in partnership environment.

•Extensive experience of individual and corporate partner taxation and related accounting.

•Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach.

•Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

•High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy.

•Confident in dealing face to face with partners in a measured way with the ability to impart complex financial information in meaningful manner.
 

What you will be doing

Individual Partner Taxation and accounting

•Responsible for calculating full year accounting profit share entitlements.

•Responsible for the calculation and preparation of partner quarterly and final annual profit payments.

•Preparation of annual partner profit statements which clearly show details of profits earned, taxation reserving, payments made, and any undistributed profits due.

•Administration of partner capital and accounting thereof. Close liaison with the firms chosen banking partner on new joiners, leavers, and capital amendments.

•Meeting with departing partners to review the final settlement payment and division of current, taxation and capital accounts.

•Along with the finance partner, meeting new partners and explaining complex information in a succinct manner.

•Dealing with ad-hoc partner requests such as mortgage, proof of earnings reference letters.

•Working closely with the firm’s external tax accountants.

LLP Partnership Taxation and accounting

•Work with the firms internal and external accountants on preparation of the LLP Corporate partnership tax computation / return.

•Liaise with the firm’s external accountants for preparation of annual partner tax provisions / reserves.

•Assisting with the bi-annual tax payments to HMRC and the accounting thereof.

Other Taxation

•Being one of the primary contacts for HMRC and our external tax advisors on all tax matters.

•Review and approval of the quarterly LLP VAT return.

•Responsible for the annual PSA calculation review and payment.

•Advising on taxation implications of overseas workers / employees along side our external tax advisors.

•Being the lead on the new Basis Period Reform and implications thereof.

•Responsible for ad hoc tax queries relating to VAT, IR35, PSA

•Working closely with the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of Cash flow forecasts.  This includes but not limited to payments to new & departing partners and the bi-annual taxation payments.

•Assisting with the year-end audit. Liaising with auditors, particularly around the members note and partner accounts reconciliations.
