We are delighted to be working with an international consultancy with their recruitment for an Event Programme Manager on a part time, twelve month fixed-term contract basis.
 
Ideally this role will be three days per week and can be based out of London or wider UK, with agile working available.
 
Reporting in to the Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager, you will be tasked in this management role, as part of a supportive and ambitious team, in the delivery of marketing and business development (MBD) to:
  • Bring about change to the events programme, innovating whilst maximising the value it can return for the business
  • Create an events environment that fosters long term client relationships, through strategic business development and marketing activities
  • Contribute to raising the profile of the firm and it’s people across Europe and beyond
  • oversee a complex events programme designed to engage the target audience on an array of issues
 
Key requirements and responsibilities:
  • Be an experienced event manager who can bring about change
  • Be able to advise and influence senior stakeholders
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of events from both an outcome and stakeholder perspective
  • Evaluate the success of individual events and events overall in terms of external impact
  • Introduce new approaches to events fit for the firm’s objectives and ambitions
  • Determine what a successful events team structure looks like for the business
  • Support on the management of large external corporate events
  • Guide the events executive and support team to deliver successful events, advising them on best practice and innovations
 
Experience:
  • You will have 3 years of relevant experience working in a similar managerial role, ideally within professional services
  • Wider knowledge and experience in marketing and business development, and the synergies between the specialisms
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills—someone who enjoys building relationships and is experienced dealing with people across a range of backgrounds and skillsets
