We are delighted to be working with a leading global law firm with their recruitment for a Marketing & Business Development Manager for their Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice area, on a twelve month fixed-term contract basis.
 
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, this role is based in London with agile working. 
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities to ensure that assignments and projects are effectively managed and in alignment with the firm’s overall strategic efforts
  • Develop and support annual marketing and business development practice group plans
  • Collaborate with marketing & business development department leadership and practice leaders to develop best practices
  • Support responses to RFPs, and pitch, presentation, and other opportunities
  • Manage and direct marketing and business development client development programs and campaigns
  • Engage in research and analysis and competitive intelligence-gathering
  • Support recruiting of lateral lawyers into firm via preparation of targeted information for inclusion in lateral recruiting briefing
  • Manage continuous communications and interaction with departmental and practice leadership
  • Work closely with the PR team to identify media opportunities to promote knowledge and capabilities of assigned groups
  • Develop and maintain legal directory/league table/industry survey content
  • Support coordination of business development training for lawyers in assigned department(s) and practice(s)
  • Update and maintain existing marketing collateral, including the pitch template, prepare new pieces with our Design team as and when the need arises
Key experience:
  • Demonstrated success in a marketing, research, management, and/or communications-related field, either in the professional services (legal sector)
  • Experience in coordinating, managing and delivering strategic marketing and business development activities within a practice group setting
  • Experience of arranging and delivering industry events
  • Experience of managing communications, sales and new business, logistics and departmental budgets
  • Able to work using own initiative and being pro-active
  • An understanding of marketing principles and how to apply these to the professional services environment
