This is a broad and varied BD and marketing role aligned to the award-winning Dispute Resolution practice, supporting market-leading teams across commercial litigation, international arbitration, public international law, white collar crime, trust and succession disputes, family, and employment. The successful candidate for this BD & Marketing Executive role will be part of a fast-paced team, playing a key role in driving business growth and raising the profile of the division.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the BD Manager to support across all marketing and business development activities, including business planning, assisting fee earners with their individual plans, and advising throughout the client engagement process.
  • Take a proactive approach to increasing market awareness and understanding of the client base by suggesting new initiatives to drive revenue growth, such as conducting client and market analysis, and identifying opportunities for events and webinars.
  • Contribute to the success of major campaigns and marketing projects, including those focused on crisis management and succession planning.
  • Develop relationships with peers in related organisations, such as professional services firms and industry associations, and recommend strategies to enhance the firm’s brand and reputation.
  • Prepare tailored pitch materials and credentials that accurately reflect the firm’s strengths and are customised for each audience.
  • Organise and attend events, actively seeking out opportunities to support business development efforts.
  • Support the legal directories submission process for the European and BVI dispute resolution teams, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
  • Collaborate closely with the CRM team to support initiatives that improve data quality and promote best practice in the use of the firm’s CRM system.
  • Assist with central projects, such as refining the firm’s approach to pitching or improving client inception processes, offering the chance to work with senior stakeholders and other business areas.
  • Build strong working relationships with marketing and business development colleagues globally, identifying opportunities for closer collaboration.

 

 

About You

  • Previous experience of working in a BD and/or marketing role in the legal or wider professional services sector.
  • Creative and proactive, always looking for ways to improve and innovate.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Tenacious and results-driven, with a track record of seeing projects through to completion.
  • Adaptable, and a strong team player.
