Role Purpose: The Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Executive in the Business Advisory team plays a crucial role in supporting the growth of the business across various marketing and business development channels, including brand, communications, digital, events, and marketing operations. This role offers significant opportunities for managing individual initiatives, backed by mentoring and training. The MBD Executive will support the Senior MBD Manager and other team members in building the profile of the Business Advisory team both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with advisory teams and sales leaders to support client development, aiming to grow relationships and revenue with strategically important clients.
- Co-create and execute targeted marketing campaigns to raise the team's profile and win new business.
- Develop and implement enablement tools to provide client development teams with useful supporting data, including through the credentials database.
- Ensure all leads generated by MBD activities, such as campaigns and events, are methodically moved through the sales pipeline.
- Support Business Advisory's participation in client events, including roundtables, webinars, and larger in-person events.
- Arrange insightful market research on companies, industry sectors, and countries.
- Manage the production of marketing and business development content from concept through to distribution.
- Co-develop standardised pitch materials for access by the firm's pitch team and Business Advisory solution teams.
- Identify and coordinate Business Advisory involvement in relevant sector, client, practice group, and interest group forums.
- Devise and implement digital marketing initiatives through the firm's website and social media channels, with occasional email use.
- Contribute to and execute the regional MBD plan and communications plan.
- Develop compelling narratives on the value proposition and communicate this effectively to stakeholders and in client-facing materials.
- Elevate the quality of the visual identity within the firm's brand guidelines.
- Report ROI on all MBD activities to better inform future efforts.
- Manage marketing software, systems, and support services.
Key Requirements:
- First-class written, communication, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of professional services MBD, with a sound understanding of new business processes, digital marketing, CRM, and tools that will help win engagements.
- Positive and proactive attitude, able to operate both individually and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, and client care expertise.
- Understanding of the consultative sales process.
- Comfortable with ambiguity as the business grows and develops.
- An appreciation of the nature of professional services firms (law firm experience is a plus).
