My client, one of the most highly regarded and profitable London law firms, is recruiting a Legal Operations Manager to join their growing team. Having formally created the Legal Operations function in the last year, it is an incredibly exciting time to join the team. They’re looking for ambitious, well-rounded professionals looking to continue their Legal Operations/Business Management career within an ambitious firm.
The Legal Operations team plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and smooth running of each of the firm’s legal departments. With a focus on practice management, the Legal Operations Manager provides vital support to partners, liaising and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the department gets the support it needs to perform well, remain profitable and ensure teams are highly engaged.
This Legal Operations Manager will be aligned to their Employment team, responsible for aiding strategic planning, supporting process improvement and generally as a key contact for the group.
The successful candidate will:

Understand a law firm environment, ideally from having worked in a law firm, barristers chambers or alternative legal service provider

Have some experience, ideally 2-3+ years, in a Business Manager/Legal Ops role.

Be commercially minded and enjoy working with stakeholders

Have a passion for process improvement and improving efficiencies

Be collaborative but able to work autonomously
The firm has formally moved onto a hybrid working model with circa 50/50 split between office and home working. They ask for some flexibility in the first few months of your new role, as you integrate into the team and meet the Partners and your colleagues, etc.
