Totum is working with a leading US law firm who are currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier to cover maternity leave on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll work closely with another Client Money Cashier, the AP Cashier, and the Billing team, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The ideal legal cashier will be responsible for:
• Process client and office receipts and payments accurately and on time
• Manage office expenses in line with firm policies
• Support client money transfers and internal bank movements when needed
• Calculate client interest and ensure balances are returned promptly
• Maintain compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Oversee AP tasks and assist the wider finance team as required

The ideal legal cashier:
• Previous legal cashiering experience (client and office) is essential
• Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Confident handling multi-currency transactions
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Able to manage deadlines and work independently
• Strong Excel and general IT skills

This is a hands-on role within a supportive team and would suit someone confident, accurate, and comfortable working in a busy legal finance environment.
