Totum Partners is seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join a prestigious law firm based in London. The firm has a strong presence across the UK and internationally. You’ll work closely with the finance team and fee earners to efficiently manage payments, and account transactions, and ensure compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand their expertise within a leading law firm.
The ideal Legal Cashier will be responsible for:
- Processing payments, receipts, and transfers for client and office accounts.
- Handling foreign payments and managing supplier invoices.
- Reconciling disbursements, including Counsel fees and foreign transactions.
- Supporting annual SRA audits and performing daily bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining communication with billing, credit control, and other finance teams.
The ideal Legal Cashier will have:
- Solid knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Previous experience in legal cashiering, finance, or a professional services environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational abilities, and numeracy skills.
- Familiarity with Elite 3E and VAT processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
