Join a distinguished London-based law firm with a heritage of over 60 years, renowned for its expertise in real estate, corporate law, and private wealth. Totum Partners are delighted to assist in recruiting a Legal Cashier for their financial operations team. In this role, you will work within a small team, reporting to the Senior Cashier, focusing on the Client Accounting function and gaining exposure across the entire cashiering function.

The ideal Legal Cashier will be responsible for:

 

  • Handling client account cheque receipts and payments.
  • Processing journals and bank transfers.
  • Managing deposits and CHAPS payments.
  • Reconciling bank statements with Elite 3E.
  • Addressing internal queries and liaising with banks.
  • Conducting ad hoc tasks.
  • Managing office account cheque payments and receipts.
  • Entering and reconciling supplier invoices and statements.
  • Processing purchase ledger BACS payments.
  • Uploading supplier CSV files to Elite.
  • Chasing internal disbursement allocations.
  • Processing nominal journals.

 

The ideal Legal Casier will have:

  • Experience in Client & Office Account tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage time under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Solicitor's Account Rules and VAT regulations.
  • Awareness of Money Laundering regulations.
  • Efficient handling of queries from fee earners and internal stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and willing to assist others.
