An exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development specialist to join a leading international law firm to be responsible for facilitating their world class business and management learning programmes across the firm. You will be actively involved in the full learning life cycle process (scoping, objectives, scripting, design approach, prototypes, reviews, tools and evaluation).

Role and Responsibilities will include

  • Identify learning and development needs for Trainees through to fee earners to 5PQE

  • Deliver the development programme for Trainees through to fee earners to 5PQE across the Firm

  • Co-design and maintain business & management programmes

  • Facilitate psychometrics and emotional intelligence assessments

  • Work collaboratively to ensure programmes are aligned to the career development framework

  • Deliver core business skills and management training programmes including topics such as:

    • Personal effectiveness

    • Effective communication skills

    • Performance management

    • Financial and commercial awareness

    • Consultative selling and business development

    • Delivering an excellent client experience

    • An introduction to reverse mentoring

Person specification

  • A proven track record of personal development and growth

  • A coaching qualification would be an advantage

  • Digital learning experience

  • Blended learning

  • Experience in the whole learning life cycle of business and management learning including programme facilitation

  • Ability to inspire and engage others at all levels in business

  • Passionate about helping others achieve their full potential

  • A robust knowledge of business & management theory and practice

  • Able to work independently and be self-directed when required

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an ambitious team

  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively to deadlines

  • Credible at a senior level with the relevant business and commercial acumen

  • Experienced in providing learning solutions within a large multi stakeholder business, within Professional Services is advantageous but not essential

  • Proven organisational ability within a commercial and fast paced environment

  • Ability to think creatively and innovate

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Commercial awareness, financial acumen and a business-like approach to legal practice
