A great opportunity for an experienced L&D professional to join a specialist London law firm and their leading L&D department as their L&D Advisor.

Duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

The overall responsibility for the development of the firm’s Solicitor Apprentice population including:

  • Organising and managing Solicitor Apprentice induction schedule.
  • Delivering parts of the Solicitor Apprentice induction.
  • Providing briefings/training for Solicitor Apprentice supervisors and keeping in touch to support record-keeping of Solicitor Apprentice experience.
  • Drafting firm communications around Solicitor Apprentices.
  • Being the main point of contact for Solicitor Apprentices regarding their development and any pastoral support.


  • Leading on the continuous improvement of the design of the NQ programme and supporting this cohort in their continued development journey using internal and external resources.
  • Deliver parts of the NQ induction.
  • Managing and monitoring the annual training budget for NQ’s.


  • Supporting team members with L&D queries, projects and idea generation.
  • Research and identify external providers with who we can work to create bespoke modules for target audiences.
  • Design and deliver skills-based workshops.

The successful applicant will have gained the following key skills:

  • Knowledge of and experience in training design and delivery.
  • Excellent written and oral skills, including the use of appropriate media to engage/influence an audience.
  • Confident in dealing with internal clients at all levels and external providers and able to manage expectations.
