This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, forward-thinking, and commercial leader to develop and drive the technology strategy in line with the firm's wider business plans.

 

The IT Director, reporting to the Board, will oversee a yearly budget of c. £8 million. This role includes managing an existing Technology function consisting of 32 FTEs, who provide a first-class service to the firm, which is well received. This role also includes responsibility for identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions for business challenges, continuously monitoring the market for emerging trends in new legal technology, and identifying opportunities such as Gen AI.

 

This is a key leadership hire for the firm that demands a strategic and objective thinker with a proven track record of success and a capacity for managing complex technological landscapes.

 

As the most senior technology position within the firm, the IT Director is critical to shaping the firm’s technical agenda and delivering first-class business technology support. Working closely with the Board, Partners, and the Senior Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement.

 

Applicants for this opportunity will ideally have a professional services background, preferably within the legal sector. This opportunity suits both experienced IT Directors and talented individuals seeking to step up from a number 2 position.
