I am delighted to be working with a leading global law firm and assisting them with the recruitment of an interim Financial Reporting Analyst to assist with the redesign and creation of financial models and provide business analysis to the business.

The role involves active participation in the annual budget and business plan preparation, incorporating historical analysis and revenue modeling. Responsibilities extend to aiding in month-end reporting, including Performance Analysis preparation, and ongoing reconciliation of diverse financial information sources. Close collaboration with Senior Finance Managers and the Technical Business Systems team is essential for continuously enhancing reporting in response to evolving business needs. The position also encompasses assisting with Cash Flow models for forecasting and budgeting, covering timekeeper record creation and maintenance, aligning timekeeper targets with Human Resources, and offering support to Divisional Finance Officers in query resolution. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the preparation and analysis of various law firm financial surveys and benchmarking activities such as the PWC Annual Law Firm Comparison. Ad hoc projects and reports are undertaken as required.

The ideal candidate for this role is a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience. They should possess knowledge of UK GAAP/Reporting Standards and SAR. The candidate should be highly PC literate, particularly with advanced Excel skills, including macros. Previous experience with 3E is preferred, and familiarity with Advanced Financial Solution (formerly Xcelerate) would be advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team ethos are essential, along with the ability to build confidence and respect with Partners. The candidate should demonstrate energy and enthusiasm for managing new initiatives, challenging norms, and striving for excellence and innovation. The ability to remain composed under pressure, a high attention to detail, and a flexible approach to work are crucial, allowing for effective handling of conflicting deadlines and priorities.
