Head of Technology Management Office

We're working exclusively with our client, a leading global professional services firm, on this critical senior hire to join their IT Leadership Team at a pivotal moment in their digital transformation.

Reporting to the CIO, you'll be the operational and strategic engine behind the function - turning strategy into delivery, owning governance and financial performance, and keeping IT aligned with the wider business. You will hold significant input into the c.£90m technology budget alongside the CIO.

You'll lead on IT governance, supplier management, performance metrics, policy, and resource planning, and act as the IT interface into the Central Portfolio Management Office. Expect close partnership with Finance on budgets and forecasts, HR on people planning, and Business Services teams across Data and AI, Procurement, L&D, and MBD. You'll also lead the IT Training and Capability team and drive change as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience gained within a legal or professional services environment
  • Strong financial literacy and budget management experience
  • A track record in complex international or matrix environments (partnerships preferred)
  • Credibility to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strategic, pragmatic, and decisive

This role could suit a Head of Business Relationship Management, Head of Service Delivery, Service Management professional, or a Chief of Staff in Technology, ready for a broader remit.
