An exciting opportunity for an experienced Recruitment professional to join a leading law firm as their Head of Resourcing. In this role you will be a core part of the team, report to the HR Director and oversee two direct reports. The Resourcing function is responsible for all recruitment activity including:

  • Graduate Recruitment – year long, social media driven, cyclical campaign to source trainees and fuel the firm's talent pipeline at entry level
  • Apprenticeship Recruitment
  • Business Support Services hires (BSS)
  • Routine "BAU" lateral recruitment – typically budgeted and "leaver replacement" focused
  • Opportunistic lateral recruitment – typically unbudgeted and "bridges gaps"
  • Strategic Partner level and team acquisitions
  • Supporting Strategy Board (SB) with bolt on and merger projects

The function collectively:

  • Owns recruitment agency relationships and monitors performance
  • Aims to source candidates directly and reduce reliance on recruitment agency introductions
  • Contributes to positive employer brand within the market place
  • Ensures positive candidate experience at all touchpoints in the recruitment process
  • Implements all aspects of the firm's EDI initiatives into recruitment practices
  • Embeds the firm's ACTS framework in all recruitment activity
  • Delivers ad-hoc projects in conjunction with the wider HR team and other projects across the wider HR team, particularly in relation to EDI and engagement. 

The successful applicant will be a Fellow or Chartered member of CIPD or equivalent specific recruitment qualification, or equivalent experience. You will have experience of direct sourcing and agency management and previous experience of working at a senior level in a complex organisation. You will have proven capabilities as a manager, with a proactive, flexible and inclusive style, and a strong sense of commerciality with the ability to strike an appropriate balance between the needs of the firm and the needs of individuals.
