Head of PR & External Communications UK and EMEA

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading law firm in their search for a highly skilled and experienced PR and communications professional to lead its team across the UK and EMEA.

As the Head of PR & External Communications, you will be responsible for driving the PR and communications strategy. Your primary focus will be on overseeing and managing successful media relations initiatives, ensuring consistent and proactive, thought-provoking communications across various channels. This is a critical role in enhancing the firm’s overall brand positioning and you will lead the EMEA Communications & PR team to instill a collaborative culture, working with the internal communications and wider marketing and BD team.

The firm is seeking an individual who will focus on positive PR, strategic initiatives, and corporate announcements. You will align PR activities across the firm’s priority areas and build relationships with journalists and influencers across the UK and agency relationships with wider EMEA. You will mitigate risks, measure PR impact, and collaborate with the CMO and wider partnership. You will refine the external communications strategy, ensure consistent messaging, and lead the development of thought leadership reports.

With previous significant experience across professional services media relations and a proven track record in defining and implementing engaging communications strategies, you will have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft speeches for senior stakeholders. You will also have strong team leadership experience as well as experience in building strong relationships with media contacts and be able to spot opportunities for the business.
