Totum Partners is collaborating with a leading legal services firm to fill the Head Cashier position. This role is newly established and reports to the Financial Controller, overseeing a team of one individual. It's important to note that this position offers a hybrid work arrangement.


The ideal Head Cashier will assume the following responsibilities:

• Posting all receipts and payments.

• Managing and providing training for the Assistant Cashier.

• Precisely reconciling all bank accounts.

• Allocating receipts and payments efficiently.

• Collaborating with the Finance team to facilitate proper allocations.

• Preparing necessary bank information for audits.

• Ensuring the reconciliation and posting of all deposit accounts.

• Performing monthly and year-end revaluations of foreign bank accounts.

• Processing intercompany cash transactions.

• Overseeing client accounts across the group and conducting client-related tasks.

• Importing and processing bank statements.

• Maintaining the organisation of all bank-related records.

• Verifying the correctness of VAT treatment.

• Ensuring strict compliance with SRA account rules.


The ideal Head Cashier should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior  Legal Cashier role.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and train an Assistant Cashier effectively.

• Proficiency in IT tools and software.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Experience handling multiple currencies.

• Knowledge of VAT treatment for bank payments and receipts.
