As a Finance Manager you will lead and have responsibility for the internal finance offering at Totum but will be expected to contribute to Totum’s business more widely and will proactively build and manage relationships with various stakeholders across Totum. You will respond promptly to queries and requests, keeping contacts informed of progress every step of the way. Your goal is to develop a relationship of trust, acting as a trusted advisor and managing relationships with integrity. You will also develop and recommend bespoke approaches that offer the best solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

 

Working closely with the Head of Finance & Operations, you will play a key role in developing and managing a high-performing internal finance offering. Your enthusiasm, accountability, and sense of purpose will shine through in your interactions with colleagues. You will have the opportunity to get involved in firm-wide projects and support the creation of a culture that encourages creativity and innovation. Managing and developing projects that support a culture of innovation will be part of your responsibilities. You will champion and generate enthusiasm for new initiatives, products, and processes.

 

As a proactive contributor, you will support the Head of Finance & Operations in driving the success of change initiatives and managing their implementation. You will also play a proactive role in the development and implementation of Totum's approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Responsible Business.

 

You will work in partnership with the Head of Finance & Operations to develop a business plan for your area of the business and take responsibility for driving its execution. Ownership and problem-solving skills will be key in delivering high-quality work consistently, accurately, and on time. You will act in a manner consistent with Totum's values and understand how your role contributes to the firm's commercial success. Every communication, whether internal or external, will contribute positively to the image of the firm.

 

Effective communication is a core competency for success in this role. You will keep all communication clear and well-structured. By asking insightful, probing, and relevant questions, you will quickly establish rapport and develop relationships. Your confidence and good judgment will shine through as you engage with audiences at all levels of seniority, informing and persuading. You will communicate difficult messages promptly, clearly, and honestly. Making others feel valued and displaying high levels of integrity will be second nature to you. You will also encourage a culture of knowledge sharing by working collaboratively with your colleagues, sharing knowledge and thought leadership throughout the business. Additionally, you will provide direction, structure, and responsibility to others, guiding them in anticipating and managing difficult and complex issues and resolving conflicts.
