I am currently working with a leading UK law firm and supporting them in their search for a Finance Business Partner to support the commercial and financial operations across a dedicated practice group.
The main responsibilities of this role include the preparation and analysis required for monthly activities, ensuring that all practice group reporting deadlines are met. You will conduct a monthly review of the practice group trading statements, investigating any variances, and following up with Financial Control and any other relevant stakeholders to ensure that queries are swiftly resolved. You will also support the practice group with any analysis required for key pricing and bids including the provision of financial analysis to fee earners across the practice groups, answering queries and providing commercial insight and commentary where relevant. The Finance Business Partner will also conduct any financial modelling required for potential new lateral hires and also be involved in the provision of any analysis and presentations required for the annual Business Planning cycle whilst also setting and reviewing annual fee earner targets.
Applicants should be Qualified Accountants with at least 3 years PQE working within the legal or professional sector. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to influence key business strategies and initiatives and be able to take a strategic view of the business and impact on finance to improve and deliver a proactive service. Strong commercial awareness is key with experience in understanding complex and diverse business requirements. You must be service oriented with experience of stakeholder management & the potential to establish a polished reputation in the business quickly.
