My client is a market‑leading global law firm with a strong international presence and an outstanding reputation for quality, innovation and client service. The firm places significant emphasis on building long‑term relationships through high‑impact client engagement and is known for delivering premium, thoughtfully curated experiences that reinforce its position at the top of the market.

 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Specialist to join the London-based Business Development team. This role will play a key part in delivering a diverse programme of high‑profile, client‑facing events across London and Europe, working closely with senior stakeholders and an established events team to create memorable and commercially focused experiences.

 

The role

The Events Specialist will be responsible for managing high profile client events end‑to‑end, from initial concept through to delivery and post‑event analysis. Working collaboratively with colleagues across business development and marketing, the role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high achieving environment.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating and delivering a portfolio of premium client‑facing events from initial enquiry to completion
  • Sourcing venues and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing logistics to ensure seamless execution
  • Managing guest lists, invitations and attendee communications, including ticketed hospitality
  • Overseeing event budgets, tracking costs, processing invoices and supporting annual budget planning
  • Producing and coordinating event materials such as agendas, signage, name badges and on‑site collateral
  • Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure events are consistently on‑brand and of the highest quality
  • Supporting on‑site delivery and coordinating across offices for multi‑jurisdictional events
  • Capturing attendee data and feedback, reporting on outcomes and return on investment, and feeding insights into future business development activity
  • Proactively identifying new venues, formats and opportunities to enhance the events programme

 

Person specification

  • Proven experience delivering a broad range of events, from small bespoke gatherings to large‑scale functions
  • Background in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior partners and internal teams
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
  • Comfortable working autonomously while also contributing positively within a collaborative team
  • Adaptable and proactive, with sound judgement and the ability to respond effectively to change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of accuracy in administration, data entry and event reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
