My client is a global law firm with a strong international presence and a long‑standing reputation for supporting clients across complex and high‑value matters. The firm continues to invest in its business development and marketing capability as part of its global growth strategy, with events playing a key role in building relationships, strengthening its market profile and supporting client engagement across jurisdictions.

 

The firm is now looking to appoint an Events Executive to join its London‑based Business Development team. This role will support the delivery of a varied programme of in‑person and virtual events, working closely with colleagues across business development, marketing and the wider firm to ensure events are professionally delivered, well aligned to strategy and reflective of the firm’s brand.

 

This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role suited to someone who enjoys managing detail, working collaboratively and being closely involved in high‑quality client‑facing activity within a professional services environment.

 

The role

 

Working as part of the events team within Business Development, the Events Executive will support the end‑to‑end coordination and delivery of the firm’s events programme. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of in‑person and virtual events from initial briefing through to post‑event evaluation
  • Managing event timelines, budgets and project plans
  • Drafting clear, engaging event communications for internal and external audiences
  • Producing targeted invitation lists aligned to agreed client and market priorities
  • Liaising with partners, lawyers and business development colleagues across the firm
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers on venues, catering, technology and event materials
  • Managing logistics on the day to ensure events run smoothly and professionally
  • Collating feedback, updating attendance data and supporting post‑event follow‑up activity
  • Supporting effective use of the firm’s CRM system and maintaining accurate event‑related data

About you

 

This role would suit someone early in their events or business development career who is keen to develop within a global law firm. You are likely to bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional, confident and approachable manner
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • A calm and methodical approach, particularly under pressure
  • Good IT skills, especially across Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset, comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

Experience within a professional services setting is advantageous, as is familiarity with CRM or e‑marketing systems, though this is not essential. More importantly, you will be someone who takes pride in delivering well‑run events and enjoys working collaboratively to support wider business objectives.
