Event & Client Engagement Manager

(Part-Time, 3 Days/Week)

About the Role
 

My client, a specialist consultancy with a long-standing reputation for supporting leading professional and financial services firms, is seeking an experienced Event & Client Engagement Manager to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering and developing a portfolio of high-calibre membership groups and events that bring together senior leaders to share insights and drive industry thinking.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse range of events, including conferences, roundtables, dinners, and exclusive membership forums.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure events align with business objectives and deliver value to clients.
  • Identify opportunities to grow participation, enhance experience, and expand the reach of the membership groups.
  • Manage event logistics, from scheduling and venue liaison to content planning and speaker coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior professionals, ensuring high levels of engagement and feedback.
  • Monitor event performance, manage budgets, and contribute to the ongoing development of the events programme.
  • Develop and enhance communication channels, leveraging technology to add value and improve the client experience.
  • Work with senior leaders to position events and forums as platforms for business development and market intelligence.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the membership programme, including expansion into new sectors, groups, and regions.
  • Take ownership of the annual events calendar, ensuring effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and support an existing team member, providing line management and guidance.

 

About You

 

  • Significant experience (7+ years) in event management, ideally within professional services, consultancy, or a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-profile, multi-stakeholder events and managing membership groups or forums.
  • Confident line manager, able to support and develop team members.
  • Commercially minded, with experience in business development, marketing, and senior client engagement.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional, collaborative, and able to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
  • Part-time role: 3 days per week, with flexibility to work from home.
  • Travel to London required for events and venue visits.
