Director of Legal Operations
Our client, a leading professional services partnership, has an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Legal Operations. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, this role will suit a knowledgeable and effective leader capable of reimagining an operational structure and processes, and building and managing the resulting operational teams, to ensure that the firm provides market leading support to their clients.
The role will have a broad range of responsibilities which will include, but are not limited to, the following;
- Lead and manage Legal Operations who support the firm’s fee earners across a variety of different service lines, building a culture of professional pride, ambition and achievement.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the operational requirements of the firm’s clients and fee earners in the delivery of its strategic priorities
- Work closely with the COO, Project Management Office, and business services Directors to lead change within the Legal Operations teams and implement effective and efficient new processes.
- Responsible for the management, pricing and financial performance of the firms additional services and the management of relationships with third party suppliers.
- Develop effective rapport with Partners and other business services departments in order to understand and address their day to day needs and expectations.
The ideal candidate will have significant operational management experience and will have knowledge and experience gained from working within one or more professional firms and, ideally, some experience of working in-house, within a large client, so as to develop a significant understanding of the client’s perspective and expectations of professional advisors.
