I am delighted to be partnering with Simmons & Simmons in a search for a Director of Commercial and Pricing. The role holder will lead the firm’s drive for profitability, client value and commercial excellence in an evolving legal market.
In this senior leadership role you will work closely with the CFO, Executive Team and Partners to develop and implement innovative pricing strategies; optimise financial performance; and provide senior level strategic commercial advice. You will have overall responsibility for leading the Pricing and Financial Analysis teams, ensuring their work aligns with the firm’s long-term objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and measurable results.
The role will involve developing and executing a firm-wide commercial and pricing strategy designed to enhance both profitability and client value. You will advise senior stakeholders on pricing models, market trends and commercial initiatives, while overseeing the creation of alternative fee arrangements and other innovative pricing solutions that reflect client needs and market conditions. You will play a pivotal role in driving improvements in billing rates, profitability and revenue recovery, while also building strong relationships with Partners and clients to ensure alignment between pricing strategy and business priorities.
As the leader of the Pricing and Financial Analysis teams, you will provide mentorship, support professional development and ensure delivery against key objectives. You will also oversee the implementation of pricing tools, matter management systems and data-driven performance dashboards that support better decision-making and operational efficiency.
