Position overview
This a newly created role working for a top tier firm with offices in London, The Netherlands and San Francisco. They are looking for a Systems Analyst who will play a crucial role in the daily operations of their systems.
As a Systems Analyst, you will work closely with the Head of IP Systems and Data to ensure the smooth operation of their case management and finance systems. This role will require expertise in SQL reporting, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to assist users in generating reports, troubleshooting day-to-day issues, and collaborating with departments across the organisation. You will also engage with suppliers, contribute to development plans, and resolve any existing system issues.
Role and responsibilities
- SQL Reporting via Data warehouse: Develop and maintain data warehouse, BI model, and analysis reports to provide critical data insights for various departments.
-User Support: Assist users in generating reports, troubleshooting system issues, and providing timely solutions to ensure the continuous operation of case management and finance systems.
-Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with users from various departments to understand their needs, streamline processes, and ensure the systems meet their requirements.
-Supplier Engagement: Work closely with system suppliers to address issues, evaluate new features, and contribute to the enhancement and development of the systems.
-Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any existing system issues or discrepancies, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
-Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, reports, and processes.
About you
This is a busy and growing team and they are looking for individuals with the following skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
-Ideally circa 2-3 years of prior relevant work experience
-It is essential that candidates have experience in SQL reporting and data analysis.
-Strong understanding of business systems and workflows is desirable.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
-Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and users from various departments.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
