Totutm are recruiting for a Finance Credit Control professional role within a leading professional services environment. The organisation works with a diverse client base, including businesses, financial institutions, and private clients across both the UK and international markets.
Sitting within the Finance function, this role focuses on credit control and maintaining healthy cash flow across the business, with a strong emphasis on reducing aged debt and improving collection performance.
Key responsibilites
- Chasing outstanding debt across different practice areas by phone and email
- Preparing statements, letters, and internal updates using finance systems
- Keeping records up to date, including payment plans and chase history
- Working with internal teams to resolve queries and review balances
- Monitoring aged debt and helping reduce overdue accounts
- Dealing with billing and payment queries from clients and colleagues
- Processing payments and supporting wider finance activity when needed
- Helping with occasional finance projects
Skills and Experience
- Experience in credit control or collections within a law firm is essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office
- Well organised, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Professional, calm, and discreet approach
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
