Totum Partners is delighted to be working with a Legal Services firm currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join the Finance Operations Team.
The ideal Credit Controller will be responsible for the following:
- Establish strong working relationships with all Matter Supervisors and Billing Executives
- Hold regular monthly review meetings to ensure that focus is maintained on timely billing and debt collection
- Operate the Firm’s credit control system, phone and chase clients, send bill reminder
- Advise fee earners on progress in chasing outstanding debts
- Distribute a summary of overdue debts to the Revenue Control Manager
- Responsible for dealing efficiently and effectively with queries as they arise
- Will be required to assist the billing team at peak billing times
- May be required to assist the European Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks
The ideal Credit Controller will have:
- Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
- Good communicator with high levels of interpersonal skills
- A good telephone manner when talking to clients, both internally and externally
- Organised and accurate with good attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure when working in a fast-paced environment
